I bought a new phone and want to move my logbook to it.
There are two ways you can transfer your logbook data to a new device:
- Use the cloud sync functionality built into Smart Logbook
- Copy your flights using the manual backup and restore feature
The cloud sync option is definitely the easier of the two, but it does require the optional sync subscription. You’ll need to use this method if you want to keep your Smart Logbook data in sync across multiple devices (e.g. phone and tablet).

The other option, manual backup and restore, requires a few more steps than cloud sync. That said, it will preserve all of your logbook data, just like sync. However, it’s only suitable for a one-time, one-way transfer of data. For example, you could use this when upgrading to a newer device.
How can I back up and restore my logbook (e.g. on a new device) without a sync subscription?
