Logbook printout PDF - Switzerland / Roaster Import

Good day

I find the app very interesting and have 2 questions:

  1. Is it possible to implement the official pilot logbook of Switzerland for printing? (See attachment)
  2. Is there a plan to import roasters from airlines via PDF?

Hi Jonas

I’ve replied to your direct email, but I’ll answer here also for the benefit of any other customers who find this post.

  1. Is it possible to implement the official pilot logbook of Switzerland for printing? (See attachment)

Thanks for including the photo of the Swiss logbook! I noticed that it is very similar to the EASA format. In fact, the columns are identical except that the EASA logbook includes simulator columns (group 11).

Additionally, you can customize the Smart Logbook EASA logbook so it has 8 rows per page like the Swiss logbook. On the print settings screen, tap Rows Per Page. Select the Custom option and then change the Rows to 8.

  1. Is there a plan to import roasters from airlines via PDF?

Currently, Smart Logbook can import flights from a .CSV file, which can sometimes be generated from airline roster apps / websites. PDFs are trickier because unlike a CSV, the data is usually unstructured and meant more for reading than machine input. That said, I have heard from a number of pilots who have requested the ability to import flights from apps like RosterBuster, so that’s something I’m considering for a future update.
